This is the second of two similar volumes I have read from TAN Books. The other is Favorite Prayers to St. Joseph Compiled from Traditional Sources. Some online sources attribute this volume to Mary Frances Lester, but I find no indication of this within the book, or any of the online previews.  This book is available as a standalone booklet, an eBook and it was appended at the end of at least two other titles from TAN. The description of this book is:

“All of the most well known prayers to the Blessed Virgin Mary are now contained in this new complete booklet, Favorite Prayers to Our Lady. The perfect size to carry always, its daily use will aid your devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Perfect for those faithful with a lifelong devotion to Mary, as well as for those who are just beginning to ask the Blessed Virgin to intercede on their behalf.

Includes How to pray the Rosary, how to practice the First Saturday Devotion, Rosary meditations of St. L. De Montfort, Seven Sorrows of Our Lady, Devotion to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Litany to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Christmas Prayer, the powerful Thirty Days Prayer, Fatima Prayers, the Rosary in Latin, Consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary and so much more!

St. Louis de Montfort, in the introduction to his famous work, True Devotion to Mary, exclaimed: We must still say with the saints: De Maria numquam satis : We have still not praised, exalted, honoured, loved and served Mary adequately. She is worthy of even more praise, respect, love and service.”

We are informed that the volume was arranged in 2010, it drew from existing materials and had other materials added. But we are not given information about the sources. The chapters in this volume are:

The Table of Contents only lists eleven items, as can be see by the list above there is a lot more than 11 items in this volume. After many of the prayers or sections of prayers are Words from various sources. This entire volume is at the end of the book of Saint Joseph Prayers. It was also at the end of All About the Angels by Father Paul O'Sullivan. But I love this stand-alone edition. I just wish it had a better table of contents, especially the eBook version to make it easier to jump around and find specific prayers. Even with that being said this is an excellent resource.

Note: This book is part of a series of reviews: 2023 Catholic Reading Plan!
