Prayer of the Day Unbound Prayer

Prayer of the Day Prayer Unbound Prayer

Heavenly Father, I am so sorry that I have not always remembered your promises, that you provide for all my needs. I am sorry if I have turned to unhealthy activities and thoughts to relieve my stress, and for having been short-tempered with others. I repent of all my worrying and lack of trust in you. Thank you for sending your Son Jesus Christ, to save me from the chaos and confusion of my life. I turn to your Son Jesus Christ as the Lord of my life, and I choose to listen only to his voice as he tells the storm in my life to be calm. Please refresh me with your Holy Spirit, so that I may follow you as a disciple. In the name of Jesus, I choose to forgive those who have caused me distress, and have put heavy expectations on me, including ....(Name Specific People, I have named three and myself each time).

In the name of Jesus, I renounce the spirits of chaos, and panic, worry and anxiety. In the name of Jesus, I renounce fear and dread, nervousness, and pride. I renounce humiliation, shame and abandonment. I renounce the idols of security, fame and power and I renounce the lie that I am all alone. In the name of Jesus, I break the power of every spirit, lie and idol that I have renounced, and I command them to leave me now.

Thank you, Lord, for freeing me from worry and distress. Please renew in me the gift of your Holy Spirit, whom I received at baptism, and fill me with confidence and trust in you. I open my heart now to receive your blessings, heavenly Father, and trust in your promises to lead me to you through your Son, Jesus Christ. With the help of your grace, I resolve to avoid putting myself into situations where I know I will be tempted to fall away from you, and I intend to stay close to you through regular confession, acts of penance and participation in the Holy Eurcharist.
Amen.

I have tried to pray this prayer every day since I first encountered it in this book in 2019. I believe this prayer was taken from:
