Iso Abs - Tony Horton One on One Volume 2 Disk 8

Tony Horton
One on One
Volume 2 Disk 8

Iso Abs
Beachbody

Abs - ten moves with twelve reps each and then repeat. At
38 minutes in length this is the longest abs workout I have seen or done yet. Now Tony does say that for some, ending after the first round will be enough, or to take breaks. My first few times through this workout I could not make it through all of both rounds, but could get between 8 and 10 reps each. Now I can rock it. Tony at one point says it is kind of Yaga-esk and with the slow moves and hold at both top and bottom of each exercise it does have that feel. The exercises are:
1. Banana Boat
2. Tick-Tock
3. Super Scissors
4. The Gate
5. Oblique Crunch Right
6. Oblique Crunch Left
7. Draw-Bridge
8. Big Bike
9. Palin Twists
10. The Monster

This is a good workout, and provides some more variation for working the abs and core. But this is the 3rd abcentric
workout in the last four. Volumes 9, 10 and 11 have been named. It is really disappointing not to have seen some good solid hard core weight days thus far in volume 2 and it looks like we won't. I would have loved to have seen another arm or shoulder routine or even another medicine ball workout. To find out more about this series or other workouts in the collection follow the links below. I have created a random workout generator that uses 1 on 1's and P90X if your interested.

Just wanted to say thanks for writing these. In case your wondering if anyone ever reads them, I will say I read them quite often.

Oh and by the way, amen to your Vol2 comments about needing to have more arm/shoulder workouts, or a med ball workout. I also put Kenpo in that category (for both seasons!) Cross your fingers for disk 12 to have something amazing like that...

Thanks Dan. I get about 100 hits a day either on my One on One or P90X Articles. But the feedback is always appreciated.

I agree with both of you. I love the variety of ab work, but more resistance days would be great. He has hit the cardio and abs hard. Do you know if there is going to be a volume 3, or what?

You know I was in a Beachbody chat room with Tony Horton... first time I'd ever had a chance to do that. Boy was the room crowded. He *DID* have a chance to answer the one question I wanted to know, would there be a Volume 3? He actually replied, "1 down, 11 to go"... I was estatic!!

wait one down and 11 to go? does that mean theres guna be 11 more volumes!?

I think Tony meant he had already filmed one of the 12 for Volume 3. But I don't see them ending this series anytime soon.
